Past Simple Tense                           
                            * Form : S + V2
                            * Question & Negative =  Did
                            * Adv. of  Time : yesterday, ago, last …...  
                            *  (The event happened  and finished definitely in the past) เหตุการณ์ที่ผ่านพ้นไปแล้วในอดีต ห่างไกลจากปัจจุบัน และเป็นข้อเท็จจริงที่สมบูรณ์ในตัวเอง  
                            * (The unfamiliar relationship; to show the politeness of the sentences) ความห่างของความสัมพันธ์ (แสดงความสุภาพ)
                            * (To show the uncertainty) แสดงความแน่นอนหรือความมั่นใจที่น้อยกว่า

*  เหตุการณ์ที่ผ่านพ้นไปแล้วในอดีต ห่างไกลจากปัจจุบัน และเป็นข้อเท็จจริงที่สมบูรณ์ในตัวเอง                              
                            John went to England 3 years ago.
                            When I was young, I loved Rose very much but now I didn’t love her.
                             John’s mother passed away yesterday morning.  * ความห่างของความสัมพันธ์ (แสดงความสุภาพ)                           
                             Could you show me the way to the police station?                    สุภาพกว่า
                             Can you show me the way to the police station?

 * แสดงความแน่นอนหรือความมั่นใจที่น้อยกว่า                          
                             John  : Will you come to the party at my house tomorrow?
                             Lucy : I might come.                                                             มั่นใจน้อยกว่า 
                                        I may come.
